A bit more past

Does she appear mercurial, does she feel obstreperous?
Discard her, she couldn’t be suitable, she won’t protest.

Does she lumber on close examination, does she clank with malaise?
Renounce on her, she couldn’t get through, she won’t protest.

Does she threaten with audacity, does she vibrate with concern?
Careen her and leave her by furious tides, she won’t protest.

Does she avoid you morose when ignored, does she shut when misled?
Drag her in compost and abandon her to marring roots, she won’t protest.

Does she hoist bare on confidence, does she stare with forecast of collapse?
Slit her and toss her away, she couldn’t signify fitting kismet, she won’t protest.

Does she chasten your dim command, does she miss the typical protocol?
Give up on her abruptly, she couldn’t be gauged, she won’t protest.

Only, out of disbelief, she will forever smile genuinely on you
As on a bit more past with bitter taste, a too wonted déjà vu.
