A proverb asserts that “speech is silver, but silence is gold”. Yet, at times, words are genuine diamonds. And no, that saying, “diamonds are forever”, isn’t accurate either. Yes, both silence and sound are breakable…but it takes a much lighter flame to melt ponderous gold than to melt adamant diamonds.
If you care, give diamonds of honest words, not gold of supposedly wise silence. Give that more generous light, even if it could hurt with its raw candour. Yes, both silence and expression are dissectable & interpretable according to whimsical criteria…but only the statement reflects tangible involvement, however brief and shallow. Give the most priceless soul~touching jewelry. If you care. And can only.
